Growing Big Gorillas press event

Objective:

To re-invigorate the Cambridge Enterprise Conference, which had been running for several years and was considered by many to have lost its relevance.

Strategy:

To make the conference relevant to entrepreneurs and investors, we renamed it ‘Growing Big Gorillas’ to differentiate it, restructured the programme, and introduced strong branding and themes to excite delegates and media.

To provide opportunities for media stories, and tangible evidence of support for entrepreneurs, we arranged a ‘Technology Press Day’ in parallel with the event and invited early-stage companies to demonstrate to the media and potential partners and investors.

Results:

The conference was fully booked with the desired mix of entrepreneurs, academics, investors and business support professionals.

“SJIC has worked closely with Holdsworth Associates for a number of years and they have added great value with their creativity. The coverage received has been exceptional and both we, and the companies involved, have received unprecedented media exposure.”
